This summary represents our annual analysis of compensation within the consulting industry. All information and analysis presented here is proprietary and may not  be used for commercial purposes without written consent from XBIG6COM, LLC, except that the media, press and journalists may make reference to this analysis so long as attribution to XBIG6COM, LLC is visibly presented alongside any such reference. Data collected, identified, processed and analyzed originate from a combination of (i) self-reported compensation from current consultants and recently employed consultants from tier-I professional service firms, (ii) department of labor statistics, (iii) proprietary algorithms for data smoothing, and (iv) publically available data from competitor organizations. No warranty is expressed or implied by the data and information shown. While we have demonstrated diligence in our research and analysis, any users of this information do so at their own risk and must not use this report as a sole source of information for decision-making, or any other uses. References to competitor organizations are done so without their consent, validation, or endorsement. Contact companies directly for validation. We respect our industry and our competitors. Data presented here-in may not be fully reflective of our competition’s compensation ranges, compensation strategy or their approach. Competitor rates charged to their respective clients are highly variable and may at any given time vary greatly from this snap-shot-in-time analysis. In total, well over 5,000 self-reported annual incomes were initially included in our analysis. Of these, about half were included in the calculations and estimates. Those not used came from individuals who were (i) an employee of an organization other than those targeted for analysis (ii) submitted a vague or otherwise ambiguous job title (iii) submitted a compensation which was clearly and obviously an outlier to the mean/average. Data considered from DOL included approximations of tier-I consulting roles publicly available via the world-wide-web. This data does not reveal originating company names, but rather relies upon skills/abilities, education level, geographic location, and other factors. Our algorithms make extensive use of comparative analysis, identification of outliers, calculations of mean and standard deviation from mean. Competitor information used for calibration includes job descriptions rendered through job search, and annual report data (of publicly traded companies). Competitor organizations identified as primary include: Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, EDS, IBM, and Hitachi. Organizations included for additional validation include: E&Y advisory services (non-Audit); KMPG advisory services (non-Audit); Booz Allen & Hamilton, Microsoft Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Oracle Corporation, and heritage BearingPoint consultants (N/A public sector now largely Deloitte, N/A commercial ervices sector largely PWC).

INCLUSION or REFERENCE to competitor ORGANIZATIONS HERE-IN IS CONSISTENT WITH NOMITATIVE USE.
